Freedust is a duo that's known for creating a tasteful fusion of genres ranging from funk-soul to breaks and electronic. Their latest release shines a light on their beatmaking capabilities, especially since the rhythm section reminds me a lot of Karriem Riggins and even knxwledge. This is paired with a woozy mellotron and piano arrangements that breathe life into the track. The bright guitar works coupled with muffled vocals add a layer of soul and depth to the mix, bringing everything together into a warm, laid-back groove that’s as dreamy as it is soulful.
