Tender, silvery melodies that flow into hard-hitting beats at just the right moment to create an epic waterfall of emotion - that's how I describe Aquilo’s sound. Aquilo is an electronica duo (Tom Higham & Ben Fletcher) from Silverdale, Lancashire, England.
What has kept you going in this tough industry?
Its really early stages for the both of us and we’re still trying to get our heads around it all. We never really set out to be where we are right now and the fact that people are listening to our music and what we have to say already is giving us more motivation than we've ever had.
If you weren't doing music what would you be doing?
Before this started Tom worked in a factory and Ben worked in a coffee shop. So that probably…

Tom has an overwhelming obsession with tomato ketchup and Ben.
What are your plans for the next year or so?
We've just finished up our 3rd EP Calling Me which is our stepping stone to our first album. We've been locked away writing and producing songs for the past year or so for the album so hopefully it’ll be finished at the end of the year. We’re playing a few festivals this summer too which we’re pretty excited about.
