"We're stoked to be working with Broseph. From the moment we started conversations we were feeling the vibes and music. We're looking forward to the new music and videos. Check out the demo for the new single and watch out for new music!" Jerm

Ivo: I guess would be nice to kick-off with a little bit of information about yourself? Who is Broseph Jennings? Real name or moniker and if the latter, how did you come up with it?

Broseph Jennings, is a stage name. (alias)  My actual name is, Walt.  Broseph Jennings, was started years ago at my first apartment.  Friends started saying it and it caught on. However, there's no elaborate story...

I: The underground hip hop scene in the States is practically booming, there are tons of upcoming young artists trying to break out, but achieving something noticeable seems to be pretty tough with so much competition. Do you think it is more about image/persona or skill and flow are still as important as in the past?

First off.  Yes, Artists are coming out of the wood works all over.  From different backgrounds and cultures. We live in a day and age where technology and the internet make it so anyone who wants it bad enough can achieve it on there own.

I think it depends on what the artist is going for. You have technical hip hop artists and then there's more of a showman type artists. Some guys pride themselves on ability and others on showmanship.  Me personally, I take aspects from both.

I: You just released a new track? What’s the story behind it and do you think you evolved in the past year after your previous record (I had the chance of listening to it in 2012)?

That's awesome man! Thanks for listening! Is there a story behind the new tack? No, not really. More or less how I was feeling at the time of writing it and how I feel about hip hop in general. Have I evolved? Of course! I feel like its every artists goal to improve and grow musically. I feel my sound is more mature and creative. It started off different and creative but I feel as tho I've found my niche.

I: OK, elephant in the room – you've got some pretty kick-ass news. Last week you started the process of working with Wiz Khalifa. The feeling must be out of this world. How did this all happen? Whats ahead of you after the whole contract thing? Recording or straight away hitting the road?

First off,  the feeling is out of this world!  I'm extremely blessed and humbled with all of this. Most people think this came out of nowhere and happened over night.  That's not the case. I was really a process over several months.  Started talking to someone in the organization. Sharing music, ideas, marketing plans, publicity plans, etc.. Then after few months i was contacted by "Jerm". At that point, it was only a matter of time. Then one day, he called me. Talked to both him and Wiz and they offered to further my career.

Whats ahead?  Well there's going to be a lot of recording newer music. Video shoots later this year. Followed by show dates and what not. Were taking it day by day and just trying to be humble about everything.

I: Where do you find inspiration for your lyrics?

Daily life. Basically a combination of all the hardship and good times I've been through. I'm one of those artists who lives life on a whim, then writes about it. I feel as tho its something music has been missing for a VERY long time. Which would be a combination of love, struggle, good times and life experience. Call me "old school", I guess.. (laughs)

I: I always wondered, is rapping sober more boring than rapping while being high/drunk?

(laughs) That's a good one! Really, I think it depends on the person. Of course being messed up makes anything more fun. For me, I find it doesn't effect my writing what so ever.  With me, it depends on the music. If I hear a track/beat and I click with it.  I can write the same whether I'm messed up or sober.

I: Dude, thanks for your time! Nice catching up with all the best with recording!

Appreciate the interview!
