Boy, oh boy! Weekend starts with coffee and some vibrant jazztronica instrumental from J-Fills' debut release It's All Relative which dropped yesterday. A perfect addition to our Groovy Beats playlist.

if you love Alfa Mist, Robert Glasper, Anomalie and BADBADNOTGOOD, you're in for a lush treat. This is the first time we spotlight the talented multi-instrumentalist, but it won't be the last one. I had the pleasure of exploring the full record crafted by Jonathan Morris (his real name) and it was an overabundance of great music. An eclectic mix of musical roots and styles, the 9 instrumentals branch from uplifting latin-flavoured beats and irresistible jazzy joints to intimate moments of soulful improvisation seasoned with gospel, R&B and spirited folk accents.

He shares, "I think it’s difficult to define an album like this as jazz. It’s a fusion of many genres like soul, classical and even hip-hop. I like jamming at the piano, stumbling on cool hooks and chord progressions, which unlocks a door in my brain, then I just let it stew for a while. I give space for my mind to be creative and let it go where it goes. This album is full of songs inspired from those moments."
