London-based chillhop and soul producer jamie.stew combines nostalgia and introspection to form his distinctive sound. In many ways, "Top Side" has quite a solitary vibe to it, the type that serves as a gateway to relaxation and offers space for you to go inward. The drums are slick yet understated, enabling the melodic textures, such as the warm guitars and glittery synths to rise to the foreground and make their presence felt. Soft murmurs of a crowd softly echo behind the instrumentation which gave the experience a human touch and draws us closer to the experience.
