Get to know multi-genre music producer Jason Aro, of KloudNineMusic. He recently popped onto my radar, and I've been hitting his music pretty hard ever since.
His recently released LOST (Beat Tape) is a small collection of signature instrumentals inspired by legendary producers like DJ Premier, J Dilla and Pete Rock.
The 4-track project brings a refreshing take on hip-hop by mixing elements of jazz and fusion, and no better example is "The Groove" which is ultra special.
Calling to mind Pete Rock's sublime 2001 PeteStrumentals album all serious hip-hop heads need to hear this cut!
As Jason says "turn up the volume, and get LOST in the music."
