Jon Gurd and Reset Robot's collaboration "Allure" has a sound that is strikingly similar to Bicep. The track is a showcase of their impressive skill for creating immersive worlds and intricate soundscapes.
The UK-based Jon Gurd possesses a unique aesthetic encompassing genres like techno, deep house, electronica, and progressive house. On "Allure" - and some of his newer tracks - he's dived into a futuristic brand of UK garage that feels otherworldly thanks to the shimmering synths and beguiling vocal samples spread across the mix. This is bolstered by a punchy rhythm section and a beefy bass line. This, along with "Reflector" on the EP, has definitely been one of my favorite finds this week!
