“moonpond” by Australian artist JVLY should come with a warning sign about its addictive and dreamy nature. You may or may not be able to get anything done for the duration and I argue that’s an excellent thing. The track is a love at first listen (technically for me it wasn’t even a full listen but love at first 17sec - rare).

The sensual instrumentals and the sweet assertiveness of the vocals make it the safest, the most comfortable late-night embrace, and the closest I’ve ever been to seizing the moon. Some serious Rhye, Charlotte Day Wilson, Still Woozy vibes. Are you playing it on repeat yet?

Even more attractive is that “moonpond” is the first of seven songs in JVLY’s EP inside weather by the awesome Mammal Sounds Records.
