"PROMISE" is the opening track to your next sexy time playlists. Get ready to be enchanted by the husky and hypnotizing voice of the South London singer & songwriter Kemi Ade. This is the first time I stumble her music, but mark my word - this girl is going to go far. She already made my top 5 r&b discoveries this year. With influences ranging from Jill Scott and Erykah Badu, to Ne-Yo & Musiq Soulchild, Kem is masterfully creating both mesmerizing and seductive ambiance.

The track is a cool blend of future r&b and 90's nostalgia. Been playing it on repeat for an hour now and can't get enough of it. Speaking on the track, Kemi says,

This embodies my sound, or me as a person. It sounds perfect on a long drive and gives me this warm feeling even though it’s so vulnerable. This one’s for is for everyone, and anyone, who gave their word to someone who never deserved a promise.
