Today, we're also excited to present the brand new EP Streetlight Diaries and its opening track "Move", the result of the joint efforts of Japanese producer Komachi and US trumpeter Cvsket Pretty, released under Stereofox Records. Hopefully, you've already had a taste of the EP with the tracks "Bookstore" and "Walk This Way", which came out earlier this year.
In case this is your first time hearing about the EP, Streetlight Diaries is a four-track journey through the poetry of city life, blending jazz-infused piano melodies, mellow beats, and expressive trumpet lines. It unfolds as a personal journal written while wandering through a city, celebrating everyday beauty, the little things in life, and the relief of finding your own space within the city’s endless motion.
"Move" made me remember parts of my time living in London last year. The afternoons when I'd take a small detour on my usual walk back from uni to admire the city, observing people heading home from work, rushing for the next bus, waiting at the traffic lights. Sometimes I'd stop at a bridge above the Thames just to watch the sky slowly fill with sunset colours and try to take in everything that was happening to me at the time. I loved those moments. Does the song also remind you of a specific place you love, or a time in your life?
You can find "Move" and Streetlight Diaries on all streaming platforms here and add them to your afternoon/evening chill feel-good playlist.
