Built on a soul-driven beat, the track takes off from the beginning with the rapper's tight bars and captivating delivery. Switching flows, he reflects on societal and personal topics with skill and attitude which won't leave you ignorant. KyEhLay elaborates:

Growing more introverted and frustrated with our arrangements since COVID-19, I quarantined and wrote songs about home, protest, and cultivating resilience. My song "moon hud" merges those themes together. It critiques the two-party government system, the 1/6/21 insurrection, funding the police, voting apathy, employment/business fairness, and the idea of "peace of mind". The second verse gives a speculative fiction take on riding with my people through writing and offering my pen as a piece of collective change.
