One of my favorite albums this year has certainly got to be Leaving Laurel's our lives entwined, and it's beautiful to see a deluxe edition coming out with remixes from K-LONE, Isolee, and much more.
The UK-based producer K-LONE is the kind of artist who constantly surprises listeners with his direction; what is consistent, however is his ability to create emotionally gripping music. His latest remix offers exactly this while simultaneously delivering a laid-back groove. The sound design is glossy while the drums bring a subtle punch that grounds the track’s more ethereal elements. His rendition of "our lives entwined" progresses like a journey that moves through shifting moods, balancing introspection with gentle momentum.
