After keeping up with all his releases this year, I can confidently say Leaving Laurel has become my absolute favorite act on the Anjunadeep roster right now.
He’s already been on a strong roll, and now he’s cementing it with the announcement of his next album, our lives entwined, set for release on January 9th. On the second single "we carried one another", we hear a cluster of downtempo, UK Garage, and electronica influences meshed into an uplifting listening experience that's full of surprises. The drums carry an earthy, grounded feel that pairs beautifully with the piano’s natural warmth, while lush synths gently swirl throughout the mix. Towards the end, we're introduced to the track's emotive climax when the full arrangement opens up, revealing its most moving and immersive moment.
