Since their self-titled debut in 2018, Leisure has remained my all-time favorite band from New Zealand, and last week they’ve just dropped their fifth studio album, Welcome to the Mood.
Leisure is a six-piece collective of award-winning songwriters, producers, and creatives who have shaped a sound that bridges nostalgia and modern influences. One of the brightest tracks in their sonic treasury is the slick "Diamonds", a guitar-driven listening experience glued together by a garden-fresh groove and dreamy, soft keys. The romance-fuelled lead vocal performance really brings the track to life to offer a lush, soulful atmosphere that feels both timeless and passionate.
