There’s no point hiding that I’m a huge fan of MADELEINE at this point, so everything I say here is probably biased. I discovered her not too long ago through the London jazz scene, but I’ve only properly been following what she's up to since the release of the first single from her forthcoming EP - "Give Back To Her". She definitely deserves the praise.

"Meet My Soul In The Water" explores the idea of being sent into a dream state, a wandering dream, an otherworldly place. A place where your soul rests. It’s also about how two people can be so strongly connected that they are literally flowing into each other, like the ripples of water.

The moment MADELEINE’s vocals kicked in, I was like, “oh yeah, this is stunning”. Her voice is so unique, soulful, and instantly recognisable, and combined with her amazing keys playing, the immersive synth textures, floating backing vocals, and honest delivery, it goes straight to the soul. Featured is the wonderful Marysia Osu on harp, adding the final layer of magic to the lush production.

If you're curious to know more about MADELEINE, we recently interviewed her for the blog. It was lovely getting a glimpse into the person behind the music - her influences, creative process, and aspirations. You can read the full interview here.

Not only does she compose and produce everything herself, but her visual identity and performances feel just as intentional and immersive, clearly evident in this stunning visualiser.

MADELEINE'S forthcoming EP titled Earth Cry - a six-track project exploring vulnerability, hope, and a plea for our planet - drops on June 17th. Keep an eye out!
