This is not really a new track, just like the careless childhood times are way behind most of us.

Mamadou.'s "Childhood Memories" brings bitter-sweet nostalgia and tells the story about his upbringing as a first-generation Malian kid in Harlem.

"It paints the beauty within the mundane and the more complex realities growing up in a disenfranchised community", he shares and we can really feel that through the strong bars and utterly mellow instrumental.

"Childhood Memories" is part of his album To Stitch A Rose, out 7 Aug.
