Inspired by the ruby red sky at the end of the day, the Japanese producer & DJ Matsuyama compiled 4 songs in a wonderful EP titled Melodic Tape.
He shares, “I was inspired to create these four songs from the evening when the sky was dyed red, as if the sun was just about to set. The warm hues, the weather, and the ambient city noises all evoke a sense of nostalgia. The beats themselves are crafted to be gentle and soothing, with each sound delicately tuned.”
All songs are united by the warmth of the chords, the soulful samples, and the dusty production. And the title track sets the tone perfectly for an utterly chilled listening experience.
