"The hood is starved not greedy"... this is definitely one of the lines which highlight the consciousness which is oozing from this track.
At first I was emotionally captured by the instrumental. The high ends are rolled off leaving a dark undertone for Rath the Angel to work with. Rath's delivery in the second verse is quite the spectacle as he steps in with a new found energy. Through the production of this boom-bap banger, producer Matt Shi had the intention of recapturing 'that' golden era sound and it's clear as quartz he executed this in stunning yet moving fashion.
