Matt Wilde never ceases to amaze us.
The Manchester keyboardist & producer returns with the 3rd taste of his upcoming album Find a Way, the debut under his own imprint Hello World Records.
"Everyday Words" follows the previous singles "Smile Today" & "It's Ok, Feel It", each showcasing his creativity & versatility in the jazz/jazz-adjacent genres. The song is inspired by the weight of the words we use - they aren't just random letters & noises but can have real effects & lead to actual change. Matt adds, “It’s a bit hypocritical - it’s a vocal-less track, but I’m often bad at saying what I actually feel. That’s kind of the point though, we all are”.
The song translates the idea by weaving simple melodic phrases with abstract harmonies to evoke urgency and motion, all within a minimal sound palette. It flows like an instrumental dance through shifting tempos, capturing the hustle and bustle of our ever-evolving ways of communicating.
