Scenic Route

Ahhhh I'm a massive sucker for dreamy tones, and "Scenic Route" is lavishly garnished with a wide variety of them.

These airy synths hang over the backdrop while the dainty guitar and piano arrangements vie for our attention since they sit so prominently in the foreground. I found the drums had a fabulous swing to them too, especially with the inclusion of the open hat. Without that subtlety, the rhythm would be very different.
