Introducing "Pantoufles" - a groovy, comforting track built around tasteful harmonies, groovy beats, slick bass, lush background strings, and some beautiful piano improvisation from Strasbourg-based producer Midva. Learning about his background as a jazz pianist made perfect sense.
Literally translated from French, pantoufles means slippers, which immediately made me picture a slow Saturday afternoon at home - tea, friends, and putting on a new vinyl with Midva's latest album.
"Pantoufles" is the final single from Midva's upcoming album musiques de chambre, (chamber music), set to be released on April 10th. So maybe that slow Saturday afternoon I'm dreaming about isn't too far away.
