Montreal duo Milk & Bone has already impressed us in the past with their forward-thinking take on electronic pop, and their latest track, “Poison”, moves the pairs sound into darker territories.

Hooking up with Toronto producer Deebs “Poison” explores a lethal love story.

The lyrics describe the inability to shut out thoughts of someone, and loving every second of it despite being in excruciating pain. The song is about knowing you’ve been abandoned and not being ready to let go.

It's moody and quite minimal all around, but it showcases the duo's exquisite vocals, and Deebs percussive clanks and haunting synths brings it all together.

If you've never heard of this pair's music before, then, this track is a good place to start.
