As I slowly get closer to 40, I’ve started noticing a subtle but undeniable shift in the way I move through life. In my 20s and early 30s, I carried this insane FOMO. At times I felt I had to be everywhere. However, with time, you start to understand a simple truth - you can’t be everywhere, and that’s okay. These days, I find myself valuing the small, quiet moments with the people closest to me. Family, real friends, the ones who make time feel slower. Life is fleeting, and those connections, the ones that truly matter, are where the real magic lives. I feel this is very cliche and most people come to this realization, but I felt I should put it out there. Also, "JOMO" or the joy of missing out is the name of Misha and Cocabona's brand new 6-track EP and it 100% deserves a round of celebration.
2 artists who are relentless in their creativity and desire to create the lushest of emotions. We've covered a few of the singles of JOMO before, but today's spotlight falls on the title track featuring Kadeem Tyrell's soothing voice. The opener sets the tone with a hypnotic mix of warm harmonies, fluid R&B melodies, and velvety atmospheric textures. A true mastery when it comes to slow-burner soulful music, I have nothing, but love for these guys.
