Mona Yim is one of those new-wave electronic producers who effortlessly inject vocals into their dancefloor bangers. The Berlin-based artist has been on the rise for some time and she got on my radar after her remix of DJ Seinfeld's "Tell Me One More Time" in 2023.
Today's highlight, "Want U", is taken from her brand-new 4-track EP See Me and is both playful/energizing and inviting at the same time, I reckon because of the blend of dancefloor electronica juxtaposed with her vocals. Superb.
For those who wonder what the underlying common denominator of See Me is, Mona shares, "a collection of cute & sexy & moody house tunes I made after 2 am".
