Mr Mantega is a slightly elusive figure; with nigh on inactive social media, he seems intent on letting his music speak for him. Luckily, it does just that. "Two More Nights" provides the listener a trippy, all-expenses-paid journey through the German producer's weird and wonderful mind.
The artwork give you an immediate picture of the music it accompanies. Unnatural and surreal with a warm, analogue touch, the strange nature of the visuals is met on level ground by the warped, twisting sound effects that run through the intro.
A lazy, loping beat serves only to eccentuate the sense of unevenness throughout the track. The melodic layers bend around the tight percussion as if dancing through a dream. A somewhat flowery simile, to be fair, but I said it with my chest and I'll stand firm beside it. Just give the track a listen and you'll see what I mean:
