There's a sense of beautiful nostalgia in muuju's new single, "heim", and it didn't take me long to realize where this is coming from. Pierre shares that the song is written about that inevitable question everyone who lives abroad ultimately faces, "where is home?". As someone who has spent a significant portion of his life away from home, I vividly recall all the long nights pondering that same thing over and over again.

I'll be honest - I love being back home, and while I would trade my 15 years of world exploration, I am happy where I am now. Of course, home can be everywhere, and the answer to this question is strongly individualistic, but I bet this song will help you figure this out.

The Paris-born, Berlin-based producer (and part of il:lo), managed to perfectly capture the ache of missing home while building your life in a new place. The dreamlike electronica blended with subtle, warm vocal samples feels so on-point, and if a feeling is a sound, then that's "heim".
