Over the holidays, I went back and re-visted some of the EPs that made an impression on me in 2025. It is usually a time of quiet and retrospection, when people don't release music, and it always feels like a great time to do more active listening than usual. That's when I discovered the full potential of muuju's bedforms 5-track EP, released back in September.
The project of il:lo's Andreas Schütz blends dreamy electronica with subtle house elements and often incorporates vocal samples that add a feeling of intimacy. A prime example is today's spotlight, "odeon".
