I’m super excited to share this little jazz-fusion tinged-disco gem with you. The tune is sampled from one of the greatest, yet sadly underrated South African vocalists – Letta Mbulu.
Right from the beginning, and Mbulu was able to combine traditional African Folk music with funk, soul, reggae, latin vibes and jazz. When Dutch producer, Nachtbraker premiered "Hamdi" with Parisian label Les Yeux Orange I instantly fell in love.
Nachbraker celebrates Letta's musical talents and influences by remixing her 70s track "Mahlalela" into a groovy post-modern disco hit! The track starts with a flirtatious build up that playfully caresses our ears and transcends into a complete 6 minute eargasm.
