Niki Moss is Miguel Vilhena's alter ego, a multi-instrumentalist, founder of the label pontiaq, lead vocalist of the psychedelic rock band "Savanna" and producer of various Portuguese indie bands. His latest song "There Must Be Something In The Water" just came out parallel to the announcement of his debut album, Gooey for release in early 2019.

The Portuguese rebel experiments with the spectrum of rock going through indie, alternative, psychedelic with racing synths, vivacious drums and vocals full of emotion and precision. The song reminds me (without the notion of imitation) of some of my favourite bands like The Strokes, Tame Impala and towards the end of The Doors. Really enjoying the playfulness, different tempos and riffs - truly sounding like a stream of a wild river coming to an ocean of skillfully improvised melodies at the end.
