I got a new track on repeat and this is the cover of "Rape Me" by Lorelei Carlson. Like I've written before you either get viciously criticized for ruining the original or receive an absolute recognition for the work you have done. I am going with the latter one here. The voice of Lorelei, the beats, the sense of intoxicated, lethargic exhilaration..this cover carries the traits of the original in a very peculiar way. To put it simply : I do like it a lot.
The cover is part of her latest album Dopamine which was released in late October. To judge Lorelei Carlson based solely on this cover would not be fair. Please check her soundcloud page where she has two other recordings.
