Today is a beautiful full-circle moment. We embark on an exciting journey that starts with a warm welcome to one of the most exciting and creative producers in London's vibrant r&b scene, noxz. The Nigerian-born multi-hyphenate actually trained as an architect, but as he always says, "I chose Architecture, Music chose me!"
Today, we celebrate the first single from his upcoming album release with us, Safe to Be, with "Dreaming Wide Awake". A song about that rare kind of joy that feels surreal - when you’re fully awake but everything around you feels like a dream. The track features the absolutely marvellous soulful vocals of Sipprell that make me feel weirdly calm. With a scent of nostalgia, the whole track feels like the soundtrack to a floating session on a warm summer day.
"It's about that rare kind of joy that feels surreal – when you’re fully awake but everything around you feels like a dream. After the release of my album, Tones + Silhouettes, this felt like opening a new room in the same house. More vulnerable, more spacious, more me," noxz elaborates.
