I've always found something really soothing in the music of Oh, My.
The Swedish producer brings his debut EP on Stereofox, after releasing a few singles together in the past couple of years. First Light is a 4-track project that carries his signature hazy & dreamy approach in chillhop, always with a light jazzy touch.
He explains the meaning behind the title, “First light” comes from loading a roll of film into a camera. When the film is exposed, you have to take a few shots to wind it forward. Those first photos are often partly burned by light, mixed with whatever the camera happened to be pointed at. They’re usually unintentional, but interesting, because there wasn’t much thought behind them. I approached the music for this EP the same way, with an open mind, no clear direction, and no expectations for what the tracks needed to become.”
The EP also features producers Flitz&Suppe and L E F on two of the tracks. So make sure to stream/buy the whole beauty here.
