Swiss brother duo okvsho and I go way back. We connected in 2016, and I've been a superfan (hate that term, but...) ever since. The way they blend jazz and electronic music is pretty distinct and I've always been able to spot an okvsho when I hear one.
I'm excited to share with you the news of Christoph & Georg's upcoming full-length album, Frozen Flashes, and the first taste of it in the form of "Pluto". The track features UK-based R&B artist Azekel, whose smooth, ethereal vocals bring a deeply human touch to the record's vast and immersive soundscape. I absolutely love the dub feel to it. It makes you want to wander the world and explore unknown corners of this strange, but beautiful planet. I appreciate how effortlessly the vocals glide through the arrangement, and while they stay pretty much a centerpiece of the song, they don't overshadow the ghostly and haunting jazz-fusion production. A perfectly balanced sonic co-existence.
Last, but not least, okvsho announced a Fall/Winter tour to support the release of the record, so if you're in any of the major cities of Europe, there's a chance the brothers will bring their magic to you.
