The track opens with a nocturnal swell of synths and minimal percussion – referencing the likes of James Blake in its atmospherics – before breaking down to reveal a melodic blossoming of layered harmony, reminiscent of the soul-stirring work of modern r&b artists Alex Isley and India Shawn. The two UK artists bring different nuances to the track, ultimately staying in symbiosis with the main theme.
