Did you know that the name Omasta comes from a regional Krakow dialect word meaning “fat added to food for flavour”, which, in my opinion, is a perfect metaphor for their rich, groove-heavy sound that blends jazz with street culture, hip-hop and raw energy.
Omasta boldly explores new musical paths while staying rooted in the jazz tradition, and their single "In Your Face" is a perfect example for that. Heavy drums, deep bass, and bold brass bring out the band’s personality. The sharp horn lines cut through the hip-hop beat, giving the track a raw and bold energy that keeps you hooked from start to finish.
I really like this band for the elegance of the jazz elements and the contrasting hip-hop vibe. I am totally adding them to my playlist. What about you?
