The work of Pale Jay borrows from 70s tinged soul, r&b, funk, jazz, and of course hip hop. These influences are also meshed together on his upcoming project, Celestial Suit Flips, where artists like Ian Ewing and Conway the Machine are featured. On this release, Erick the Architect unleashes a whirlwind of impressive flows and keeps us gripped from start to finish - honestly, this is one of the best rap performances I've heard this year. The melodic portion of this release is brought to life by vibrant guitar arrangements and subtle, glistening strings. These features beautifully complement the thought-provoking nature of Erick the Architect's songwriting on here.
