You can't just bypass an artist with such a cool name.
papaya noon is a new find for me but the Cardiff duo has been around for five years now. Today, they share their debut via the UK label First Word Records - "blush".
The music they make can best be described as a feeling - one of melting. With influences from '90s r&b, alt-pop, funk, hip-hop, and indie, "blush" reminded me of The Internet but even silkier, some threetwenty, and juuust a touch of Made In Heights (IYKYK). The track carries pulsating synths, groovy basslines, and the smoothest vocals you could ever imagine.
"blush" is the first single from their upcoming debut EP through the moods.
