Only two posts ago Kero One paid tribute to Portishead by remixing one of their songs. Do you remember that part where I write the band have influenced many of the contemporary artists today? Not that I need a proof for that but it feels nice when I get a confirmation.
Paris XY name Portishead together with some other musical giants like The Knife, Joy Division and Radiohead as a main source of inspiration. "The Return" is their sixth out of 7 singles so far and sometime during 2015, we should expect their debut album. The style of the Leed's duo is something definitely new to me. I do enjoy a lot the mix of energetic house, tech and minimal elements throughout the song, combined with cold, eerie vocals.
