One of the most exciting album titles on our New Albums in 2026 list, Parra for Cuva's Nacar (May 15th) is shaping up to be quite the sonic experience.
Today, we spotlight the second single from the album titled "Towards Amber". As always, the German producer channels a more introspective sonic territory while maintaining his well-known signature balance between electronic textures and a very personal approach to building a sonic world that connects him with listeners.
"Towards Amber connects to the melodic side of earlier Parra for Cuva releases while feeling more refined and spacious," he elaborates. "Chopped guitar samples, soft pads, and distant vocal textures drift over a steady rhythm. The arrangement evolves subtly, creating a sense of forward motion without obvious transitions. It has a warm, reflective mood like watching the light change at the end of the day."
For a while now, I've been a fan of Parra for Cuva's way ot making music. The combination of field recordings he uses in his production makes the whole experience not only immersive but deeply personal. I am sure Nacar will be no different.
