During the opening stages of this track, my attention wasn’t given plenty of reasons to cling on to this track…But as soon I heard the explosive eruption of the climax, everything changed.

Apart from the badass edge it supplies, the lively guitar riff found in the chorus is catchy enough to stay in your mind for hours like a visitor that has overstayed their welcome. The production on "Jesus Murphy" also has these lo-fi textures, providing a sort of a vintage gloss that compliments Peter Mol’s vocals.

Lyrically, Peter juggles themes of morality and relationships in a manner that’s (and I know this is a paradox) sullenly hopeful. If you’re into Father John Misty or even
