This year, Rapsody has blessed us with a new album titled Please Don't Cry and it serves as a vulnerable reflection of love in all of its different forms.

The new album is a more self-aware version of Rapsody as the curtain is pulled back on who Marlanna Evans is. One of the crown jewels of this LP is the sultry and soulful "3:AM" featuring the one and only Erykah Badu, and the synergy between Erykah and Rapsody is like watching the wind gently dance with a scorching fire. Rapsody is not only candid with her songwriting, but this is also paired with a poetic allure alongside a compassionate vocal delivery that reflects her tender, loving, care towards the person she writes about. I can't neglect to mention the cries of the sax pouring all over the chorus to bring it to life, complementing Erykah's charming vocal performance.
