The sun is shining today in Berlin, and to celebrate this rare occasion I have "Neon Colours" by Retro Kid to share with you guys today!
It is a really colourful track, bursting with an interesting assortment of sounds and obscurities. All brought together with the eclectic vocals from Danish singer Christiane.
The track was based on a charismatic bodega/pub in Copenhagen called Cafe Malmö, which according to the artist has now been taken over by "the hipster youth preaching about how nostalgic they feel when listening to songs older than they are".
This is the first single off of the artist's debut album Nordic Noir, an album that attempts to capture first-hand experiences of nightlife as a “Copenhagener”.
