Vinyl crackles, textured keys, and laid back drums... "Ahhhh yet another common lo-fi track". Honestly that was my first reaction in the opening seconds when I heard 'Found My Place'. Although by the end of the three minutes run time, I spent a good amount of time camping on Savo's Soundcloud in the pursuit to know more about him and his sound.
Like trees in the forest that reach for the sun, my interest continuously grew as I paid close attention to the words Savo had to share with us in this track. Even though his voice, cadence and flows sound pretty similar to the great Mac Miller, the Aussie is coming through his own compelling story. The track is inspired by not fitting in, and being completely okay with that. Comparisons to various pop culture icons (Whitney/Kanye/Kim) and his preference in woman certainly emphasize the tracks theme. If you're into Miller or even Cole, you'll love this.
