An EP that almost slipped under my radar this year is Pathways - the sensual, collaborative release from Miller Blue and Rastreep under their moniker Sensuré.
UK-based indie r&b artist Miller Blue brings a sense of musical richness to his productions, and together with the gifted singer-songwriter Rastreep, the duo have created a sound that seamlessly fuses a range of influences. The most calming release on their EP is the title track "Pathways", and here the pair showcase their synergy, romantically and artistically through soothing harmonies and tender melodies that drift together like intertwined souls. Strings in the background heighten the track's emotive allure, and the drums offer a contemporary feel with their slick bounce along with the soft synths towards the end.
