A few weeks ago, I spotlighted Shabaka's "A Future Untold" on one of my weekly social media round-ups, but life happened, and I never got to feature it on the website.

Nasko is off for a few weeks, and while life seems like a wave at Nazaré, this song feels like safe haven and a shield from that wave's crumbling weight. The track is the opener of his upcoming album Of The Earth, scheduled for release on March 6th. A record I'm very excited about.

Shabaka, who is a driving force behind two of the most influential London-based jazz acts - Sons of Kemet and The Comet Is Coming, uses the record as a vehicle for his vast musical range. Crafted entirely by Shabaka - from writing to production, performance, and mix, the album showcases the full scope of his artistic genius.
