Following my album review of Slowdown's phenomenal new album, SINCE WE LAST SPOKE, I wanted to make sure we spotlight some of the tracks on the record and add them to our music player feed.

Kicking off with "POISON", one of the most polarizing tracks on the record. Polarizing in the sense that in just 2 minutes and 45 seconds, Brian offers a full palette of emotions. From 80s nostalgia and classic r&b romanticism to tribal/alternative electronica with some of the most alluring chants I've heard in a while.

Also, if you're keen on enhancing your experience, check out the official music video for "POISON"

Here's part of the lyrics, because I absolutely loved them.

Baby dry your eyes
they can’t disguise the lies
we’re never satisfied
always another high
but if i dry my eyes
who’s gonna sympathize?
lately it feels like

There’s a poison up in my mind
it’s been tryna spread to my heart
And it’s spreading on to my lungs and
spending all of my funds
There’s a poison up on our screens and
poison deep in our systems
it’s been everywhere that we run
it’s been shooting all of our guns
