There is one of these moments at the end of the day, when you just want to put your headphones on, get on the bus and stare at the window, listening to a calm, soulful song and feel like you’re in a film. “Hold It Down” by Spirit Faces may just be one of these songs.

Hiding behind the minimalistic pixel art artwork and the tag “bedroom music”, Sydney-based artist Pete Covington, accompanied by the Zebra Zap’s guest vocals, takes you to a beautifully done smooth (a bit over) 2 minute voyage, gently soaked in  James Blake's soft piano, processed vocal parts and electronic sounds , Neil Young's nostalgic choruses and Chet Faker's  intimate vibe.Lately, I haven't heard many vocal and piano tracks, that could catch my attention but “Hold It Down” absolutely did it. It is one of those perfect songs, which you just play on repeat until you get emotionally overloaded. “Hold It Down” is the first official release from the new  TEEF Recordings and will be featured on Spirit Faces' forthcoming EP.  Just play this tune, relax and let yourself float in beauty.
