A solid nostalgia hit thanks to one of Chrome Sparks’ most immersive albums to date. A lush 12-track journey, Ball of Light, came out last Friday, and it blends electronic textures, hazy atmospheres, and plenty of emotion.
I started getting into the album over the weekend, and honestly, I couldn’t get enough of it. If you were to ask me where to start, though, the answer would be simple - "True Casio.5000". It instantly took me back to the early 2010s and the golden era of SoundCloud’s electronic bedroom producers. A careless time when I would spend hours lurking in the corners of the platform, hunting down the weirdest bootlegs, edits, and little gems I could find.
