Now this is bada**! I love that Bicep, along with Lauren Duffus and SOARR have created SUCH a fierce sound that's simultaneously dreamy on their new track "Gas".
The new crop of singles Bicep released, "Gas", "Ultra", and "Equarium," are actually all part of their upcoming album SLUG. What really pulled me into the experience of this track, though, was the gritty bass line and how this contrasted with the soft, feather-like aesthetic of the vocal performance. The luminous synths cloud the mix with a dreamy haze while the drums relentlessly knock against your speakers. The kind of track that finds you dancing with your eyes closed at 4 AM, caught somewhere between euphoria and heartbreak.
