With its unconventional structure and experimental edge, the latest release from Stresshead "Tidal Wave" is certainly one of my favorite finds this month.
Earlier this year, we highlighted Stresshead in our rising electronica artists list - and with a string of gorgeous singles and gracing the cover of Spotify's "The Loft" editorial, his momentum is undeniable. His recent track "Tidal Wave" leans towards a softer, emotive charm thanks to the gripping vocal performance and the spacey, ever-morphing synth works we're welcome to. Lyrically, he touches on themes of anxiousness and a sense of waywardness. Overall, the track strikes a fine balance between introspective and groovy, especially since the rhythm section is so hard hitting along with the bass presence.
